Hummus and Vegies SticksHummus

This recipe makes several serves so take out what you need for the day and wrap the rest up in the fridge. It’s too tempting to overeat if it’s in front of you.

Ingredients: 4 serves

  1. 400gm canned chickpeas, drained
  2. 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  3. 50ml extra virgin olive oil
  4. 2 Tbsp Tahini Paste
  5. 1 tsp ground Cumin
  6. Juice of 1 lemon
  7. ¼ cup water

Directions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blitz until smooth. Add a little more lemon juice or water if too thick.
  2. Store in an airtight container in the fridge. Makes 4 serves.
  3. Serve with veggie sticks.

Vegie Stick

  • Approx. 1 cup
  • Carrot
  • Celery
  • Capsicum
  • Cucumber

These are just a few, but feel free to use whatever you like or whatever is at hand.
